Deathless Depths
Deathless Depths
Week 06
By Kyle (design & code) · Released
Deathless Depths is an idle dungeon crawler in chunky 16-bit pixels. Pick a knight, mage, or rogue and watch them march through torchlit corridors, fighting whatever steps out of the dark. Death sends you back to the gear screen with every coin, shard, and drop you found, so each run starts a little stronger. A guardian bars the way into every safe camp, and the peddler inside sells gear that never depends on luck.
How to play
- Pick a class, then tap gear and belt slots to build your loadout. Doubles are allowed.
- Your hero marches and fights alone. Fire the skill and belt items when they light up.
- Carry a key to open the chest some floors hold.
- Floors marked STORE start at a safe camp. From floor ten, a guardian bars the last floor before each one.
- Death banks everything. Regear and descend again.
Desktop: Mouse for everything. Arrow keys move the cursor and Enter selects. Keys 1 to 4 fire your skill and belt items. T changes battle speed. X sells. Escape pauses. · Mobile: Tap an item to read its card, then equip or buy. Drag the satchel to scroll your loot. Tap your skill and belt buttons when they light up.
Why we built this
We rebuilt the gear screen three times before it felt like a belt and a bag instead of a menu. The difficulty tuner pushes every floor to the hardest setting our fairness proof will certify for all three classes. A robot playtester cleared floors on phone and desktop layouts before we let it ship.
FAQ
-
Is Deathless Depths free to play?
Yes. It runs free in your browser with no download or signup.
-
How do I play Deathless Depths on my phone?
Open it in your phone browser and hold it upright. On a desktop the same dungeon spreads out to fill a wide screen.
-
Can every floor be beaten?
Yes. A tester clears every floor as all three classes wearing plain store gear before it ships. Drops and chests only make things easier.
-
What happens when I die?
You keep everything you found and wake up at the gear screen. The screen also names what killed you and the stat gap behind it.
-
Do I have to play actively?
The hero fights on their own. Firing your skill and belt items helps, and doubling the battle speed is one tap.
