v1 — counsel review pending. This is our current draft; a lawyer has not yet reviewed it.

Short version: today this site does one thing that touches your data — it lets you join our email list. Here is the whole picture.

What we collect

If you join The Signal, we collect the email address you give us, plus the date you signed up and which page you signed up from. That is all. We do not ask for your name, and we do not run trackers that follow you around.

Why we collect it

To send you one email a week: the new game, and nothing else. We use your email for that and nothing else.

Where it is stored

Your email is stored in Cloudflare's key-value storage, on infrastructure we control. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties — with one future exception: when we connect an email service provider to actually send The Signal, your address will be stored there too, solely to deliver that weekly email. We will name that provider here before it goes live.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is privacy-respecting: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no personally identifying information. We cannot tell who you are from it, and neither can Cloudflare.

Leaving the list

Every email we send will include a one-click unsubscribe. Use it and your address is removed. You can also email us to be removed.

Changes

As we add games and features, this policy will grow to match — including ad partners, data retention windows, and a formal children's-privacy clause. Nothing on this site today collects data from anyone under 13; Zorp is for players 13 and up.
