Strategy Games

Arcane Throne is the only game live in Zorp's strategy hub right now. It is a full game of chess against a court of fantasy rivals, with every real rule intact: castling, en passant, promotion, the whole set. The knight wears a unicorn's shape and the rook stands as a tower golem, yet each piece keeps its true name and its true move. Pick a rival, defend your King, and win by checkmate. A draw leaves the throne empty, so the game will not let you coast to a stalemate and call it a result.

Chess suits a small studio the way few strategy games do. The rules already exist, tested across centuries, so the work is the court built around them: three rivals with three different tempers, a hint engine proven by playing the whole board against itself rather than trusting a single opening. That is the kind of build Kyle likes taking on, and the AI took longer to tune than the board did.

3 strategy games live so far, with more queued behind it. We would rather say that plainly than dress a one-game shelf up as a finished catalog. This hub will grow one finished game at a time, and we are comfortable taking the time each one needs. Follow The Signal below and we will tell you when the next one lands.

Building next in this genre

Nothing below is live yet. These are queued for the strategy lineup, and we are not attaching release dates until a build is close to done.

  • A checkers game. A board classic, built with the same care for the real rules that Arcane Throne got.
  • A tower-defense game. A different kind of strategy loop, planning a layout and holding a line rather than moving pieces turn by turn.

Common questions

  • What strategy games does Zorp have right now?

One: Arcane Throne, a full game of chess played against a court of fantasy rivals. It is free, runs in the browser, and needs no download or signup.

  • Is Arcane Throne real chess?

Yes. Castling, en passant, promotion, and every draw rule are in the game. Only the artwork is fantasy: the knight is a unicorn, the rook is a tower golem, and every piece still moves by its true rule.

  • Can I play Arcane Throne against a friend?

No. It is single-player against one of three AI rivals, and you always play White. There is no online multiplayer.

  • What's next for the strategy hub?

A checkers game and a tower-defense game are both queued. Neither has a release date yet.
